CREATIVE CARING COUPLE

Mathias & Tina Schickhoff are the most adorable couple on Cumbre who are full-kindheartedly committed to the CumbreCats. Their interactive children's book, available in three languages, is an exciting tale whereby a cat and a dog experience an adventure but your children must participate with the book in order to solve the story.

Mathias aslo crafts some super fun and fabulous handmade cards for every occasion. They are lovable one-of-a-kind cards aimed at helping our cats because 100% of proceeds support the control and care of our CumbreCats.

This Cumbre couple have also founded an association called www.HEART4ELEPHANTS.com that is dedicated to the survival of the endangered elephants in Asia.

BOB IS BACK!

That's Bob Sapsford, who is a favourite artist at our fundraisers for his commitment to the cats. He will be donating one of his perfect paintings to be won in the Tombola. He will also be giving a demonstration of his painting techniques. Plus, he and his lovely wife Pauline will have plenty of prints and cards for sale. And, if you ask nicely, he will paint a private portrait of your pet or any commission that you wish!

GREAT GAL WITH GLASS

Returning, we were very lucky to have Jo is a pro! Jo Jouas is a creative stained glass artist who works in the Tiffany technique using copper ribbon and tin for soldering. She will be introducing viewers to her sun-catchers, fridge magnets,  standing objects, pictures, lamp shades, candle holders, plant pots... the list goes on. Great one-of-a-kind unique gifts for every occasion. She is donating to the Tombola and her proceeds to the CumbreCats.

A PICTURE TELLS A THOUSAND WORDS

Karla Darocas is at the market once more. She is known in the neighbourhood for her beautiful photography of our regional landscapes and flora. She will have her collage wall-posters and greeting-cards available. Win them in the Tombola or Collect them all because proceeds are to help the CumbreCats!

NEW TO THE MARKET FUNDRAISER

Come and explore the unique objects by local creative Anastasia MacIver. She decorates various objects utilising the decoupage technique. Her preference is wood and many of her objects combine decoupage with other decorative methods like craft clay, paper mache, molds, distressing (using paints or burning and brushing the wood), texture pastes and others. All items are properly sealed with varnish, which is certified safe for your home. The Tombola will feature a prize from this creative, and she will be donating to the CumbreCats too!

We also welcome Evelyn (Eve) Hänsel and Regine Danziger who are creatives who are make caring for the welfare of animals their main inspiration. Lifelong creatives, these women have been devoted to their fun and fabulous pottery projects for the past five years. Get your Tombola tickets to win one of their pieces, pick out a crazy creature or commission something special, it is up to you. They will be putting 100% of their proceeds toward the CumbreCats. Go for it!!

And finally, we have Karin van Aken, a happy artist who likes to make magic by painting lucky stones to put in places to make a suprise, which is guaranteed to bring on smiles. They are made with special paint and are weather resistant. Again, you can win a prize stone in the Tombola or just grab one to put in your garden or give to a special friend.

The Cumbre Cats Control Campaign is a Private Citizen Initiative created on June 1, 2020 by a group of Concerned Residents from the urbanisation of Benitachell called Cumbre del Sol, Alicante, Spain.
Combined residents work together with the towns veterinarian to Trap-Neuter-Return and eartipped the feral and abandoned cats. All cash donations are delivered to Centro Veterinario Verónica Català Pascual, who in return awards the Campaign with a Receipt of Payment in order to track all funds utilised for neutering services.
